LOCTITE® 243 is a medium strength blue thread locker that seals and secures nuts, bolts and studs to prevent loosening due to shock or vibration.

LOCTITE® 243 is a versatile thread locker that provides intermediate strength bonding. LOCTITE® 243 is effective on all metals, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces. It is designed to tolerate light contamination from industrial oils (e.g. engine oil, anti-rust solutions or cutting fluids).

Prevents loosening of assemblies under vibration stress such as pump screws, gearbox housings or presses.
Suitable for all metals, including passive substrates (e.g. stainless steel, aluminum, plated surfaces).
