More power for the TMAX 530

High-performance engines require a suitable and consistent fuel supply. Enhancing the performance of the TMAX, using the comprehensive Malossi catalog, necessitated the creation of a specific throttle body capable of guaranteeing the performance required for the stock unit.

Made from Ergal 7975-T6 and anodized black, the MHR throttle body was designed specifically to achieve maximum performance in combination with the Malossi 560cc twin-cylinder kit and with the Double PowerCam, providing the right intake to the engine in this configuration.

The internal diameter of the throttle body is increased to 38 mm, while its length remains identical to the original so that it can be installed without difficulty in its standard positioning between the cylinder head and the airbox.

Its internal passages are cylindrical, positioned against the intake trumpets, and gradually become oval at the butterfly valve. Thanks to this variation in internal shape, the fresh gases are pushed more forcefully into the cylinder head, which, featuring two intake valves, requires a considerable width, provided by the oval section that continues to the end of the manifold.

The two manifolds supplied with the kit are enlarged and can be installed on a ported cylinder head without requiring any other modifications. The specific velocity stacks for the MHR throttle body are calculated and improved to achieve maximum efficiency from the oval sections of the intake manifolds, taking full advantage of the perfect alignment of the entire intake tract.
