This exceptional rear suspension for TMAX 500 and 530, compact and very lightweight, was born from the collaboration between Malossi technicians and the manufacturer Paioli.

It is a true oleopneumatic suspension with variable travel and hydraulic extension adjustment, compensated by a pressurized nitrogen chamber, equipped with a special patented spring preload adjustment system, capable of ensuring very good riding comfort, whether for sporty or touring use, with or without a passenger on board.

The project was studied extensively by the technicians of both companies who, long accustomed to working as a team, combined their experience to create an innovative suspension.

To guarantee the reliability of the new suspension, several prototypes were produced and subjected to the most rigorous laboratory tests lasting weeks on specific test benches before being tested on the road and circuits.

The versatility of this shock absorber is remarkable thanks to the 3 new adjustment systems that highlight its use on the road and on the track:

Hydraulic extension system adjustment to absorb all road irregularities.
Spring preload to adapt the vehicle in motion according to passenger weight. This suspension uses a particular patented system, unique in the world, which allows all necessary adjustments to be made simply by using a hex key on the screw located at the top of the shock absorber, in an easily accessible position.
Travel variation system in corners for sporty use of the vehicle.
The uniqueness of this project lies precisely in the ability to make all necessary adjustments quickly and efficiently without removing the shock absorber from the vehicle.

Nothing was overlooked during the study of this project! For example, weight limitation was one of the main objectives to achieve: this is why most parts are made of ergal, forged, extruded, and drawn from solid, thanks to the best existing technologies.

The result of this meticulous project allowed us to achieve a weight reduction of about 20%; specifically, it went from 4,838 grams of the original to 4,030 grams of the RS24 shock absorber.

We believe this is an important result towards the sportiness that the Super T-Max Malossi can boast!
