The rear shock absorber for TMAX 560 and 530 is composed of a single body crossed by a hydraulic circuit, distinguished by a new manufacturing concept, and which allows all the adjustments to be integrated while maintaining the same dimensions as the shock absorber. original, without reducing the overall dimensioning of the hydraulic brake.

The shock absorber is equipped with 4 settings:

1 - Adjustment of the center distance.
Turn to change the height of the rear axle, - 2mm + 8mm compared to the original.

2 - Extension adjustment to change the brake during the shock absorber reopening phase, after compression.

3 - Adjusting the spring preload to increase or decrease the "initial" load of the shock absorber, and, therefore, determine the upper or lower initial stiffness of the system, i.e. the effort required to start the suspension by adjusting the agility, handling and stability of the vehicle.

CAUTION : The adjustment of the spring preload must be carried out according to the extension, the weight of the vehicle and the driver with possible passengers.

4 - Compression adjustment to control the brake when closing the shock absorber, and vary its behavior depending on the irregularity of the ground. It is possible to define a sporty seat that is more rigid, but more stable, or a touring seat that is softer and more comfortable. The adjustment acts at low damping speed, i.e. while the shock absorber is operating on corners or in slightly accentuated potholes. On the other hand, at high speed, for example when facing pronounced potholes, perhaps even in the middle of a straight line, there is intervention of a brake composed of a sintered piston of 20 mm with a specially calibrated valve clearance.

L' RS24/10-R has two nitrogen tanks for stem compensation. This system makes it possible to completely modify the load curves according to the pressure of each chamber, that is to say the handling modalities during the compression and extension phases. In addition, it guarantees greater compactness of the shock absorber compared to the single external reservoir system, lower friction, as well as more considerable dispersion of the heat produced by the operation of the system.

  • Anodized ergal body and fasteners, hard anodized ergal internal components, 16mm stem with thick hard chrome treatment
  • Piston diameter 40 and double effect (compression and extension)
  • Diaphragms made of technical material with low friction and high durability
  • Neoprene pad for Yamaha T Max 530, Kymco AK 550
  • Polyurethane pad for BMW C 600/650
  • Low viscosity index oil to minimize variations in hydraulic brake behavior depending on temperature
