The rear shock absorber for TMAX 560 and 530 is composed of a single body through which a hydraulic circuit passes, distinguished by a new manufacturing concept, which allows the integration of all adjustments while maintaining the same dimensions as the original shock absorber, without reducing the overall size of the hydraulic brake.

The shock absorber is equipped with 4 adjustments:

1 - Adjusting the center distance.
Turn to change the rear axle height, - 2mm + 8mm compared to the original.

2 - Extension adjustment to change the brake during the reopening phase of the shock absorber, after compression.

3 - Adjusting the spring preload to increase or decrease the "initial" load of the shock absorber, and, consequently, to determine the upper or lower initial stiffness of the system, i.e. the effort required to start the suspension by adjusting the agility, handling and stability of the vehicle.

WARNING : The spring preload adjustment must be made according to the extension, the weight of the vehicle and the driver with any passengers.

4 - Compression damping adjustment to control the damping action when the shock absorber compresses, and to vary its behavior according to the road surface irregularities. It is possible to set a stiffer, but more stable, sport suspension setup, or a softer, more comfortable touring setup. This adjustment operates at low damping speeds, i.e., when the shock absorber is working in corners or over slightly pronounced potholes. Conversely, at high speeds, for example when encountering significant potholes, perhaps even in the middle of a straightaway, a damping system is activated, consisting of a 20 mm sintered piston with a specially calibrated valve set.

L' RS24/10-R It features two nitrogen reservoirs for rod compensation. This system allows for complete modification of the load curves based on the pressure in each chamber, thus altering the handling characteristics during compression and extension. Furthermore, it ensures greater shock absorber compactness compared to a single external reservoir system, reduced friction, and more significant heat dissipation during system operation.
