The 2-cylinder monoblock with a clean, dry design created by Yamaha has been deeply customized by Malossi through developments that allowed an increase in bore without compromising the original mechanical and thermal balance.

The pistons were particularly special, forged from a special alloy designed to withstand long-distance usage stress.

Nothing has been left to chance, from the seals to the super-hardened steel bi-conical piston pin and the chrome-plated, nitrided steel elastic ring.
