Malossi Rear Shock Absorber TMAX
Estimated Shipping Widget will be displayed here!
The rear shock absorber for TMAX 560 and 530 consists of a single body crossed by a hydraulic circuit, distinguished by a new manufacturing concept, allowing integration of all adjustments while maintaining the same dimensions as the original shock absorber, without reducing the overall sizing of the hydraulic brake.
The shock absorber is equipped with 4 adjustments:

1 - Adjustment of the center distance.
Turn to change the rear ride height, -2mm +8mm relative to the original height.

2 - Extension adjustment to change the brake during the shock absorber's reopening phase after compression.
3 - Spring preload adjustment to increase or decrease the shock absorber's "initial" load, and consequently determine the system's higher or lower initial stiffness, meaning the effort needed to start the suspension, adjusting the vehicle's agility, handling, and stability.

WARNING: The spring preload adjustment must be made according to extension, vehicle weight, and rider with possible passengers.
4 - Compression adjustment to control the brake during shock absorber closing, varying its behavior based on road irregularities. It is possible to set a sportier, stiffer but more stable setup, or a touring setup that is softer and more comfortable. The adjustment acts at low damping speed, meaning during shock absorber operation in turns or slightly pronounced potholes. At high speed, for example when facing pronounced potholes, possibly even in the middle of a straight line, a brake composed of a 20 mm sintered piston with a specially calibrated valve set intervenes.

The RS24/10-R features two nitrogen reservoirs for rod compensation. This system allows complete modification of the load curves based on the pressure in each chamber, meaning the handling modes during compression and extension phases. Additionally, it ensures greater compactness of the shock absorber compared to a single external reservoir system, less friction, and a more significant dispersion of heat produced by the system's operation.
- Body and mounts in anodized ergal, internal components in hard anodized ergal, 16 mm rod with thick hard chrome treatment
- 40 mm diameter piston with double action (compression and extension)
- Diaphragms made of low-friction, high-durability technical material
- Neoprene pad for Yamaha T Max 530, Kymco AK 550
- Polyurethane pad for BMW C 600/650
- Low viscosity index oil to minimize variations in hydraulic brake behavior depending on temperature
